4worldlovers: My name is William. I was born in 1979 in Mac Thuong village. Today I belong to Chinh Ly commune, in the Ly Nhan district, Ha Nam province of Vietnam. Like many other boys in this area, I became a shoe polisher, a postcard seller and gave my money to my mother. In HaNoi, there was a couple of Ambassador, who did their best to help poor children, they put me in to HaNoi, Hoang Hoa Tham secondary school, where I went to class, I was always laughed at for my age difference but I still went to school and also worked in a restaurant. In 2001. I had the honor of serving the president of the United states, Mr Bill Clinton etc.

Since going to school. I like studying literature, poets and other famous writers such as Secxpia, Huygo, Hemminway, Sele etc. It may be said that I worked hard to write a story of thanks my sponsors who have helped me because of "children's right to protection and development". My short story fully a new teller belongs to the national future, it was not in my imagination or creation combinated. These are true events of my childhood. Others boys in many village went to the city to polish shoes and sell newspapers untill they become a men, a lot of them wasted themselves because of no education, jobless see more......


In the short term, the story concentrates on the spirit of persistent pain, mentally, and physically, tragedy of children. Many stopped studying earlier or left home or orphaned because money was short. The other side of the story shows the kindness that can be shown to children, love to put them all else. It illustrates the benevolent heart relationship between people and people under difficult varied circumstances. The story is also a picture of beautiful children.

I walk by 2 foot. Now I understand that (in business, no give, no beg, no sorry, no sympathy, etc) We all look for the best quality, you can see that is the reasons why many dreamers never become true, the people like to help me but they live very far, in 2022, I started showing an excellent job on internet, they pass by & may be drop in. Now I understand, why nobody come, it means, whoever receive an advertising, they check it & forget it. My place isn't an expensive one, from 3$ to 10$, house rent 500$, some time busy & some time no body come at all. I have an other job outside as a transporter to take care for my family. My future goal is share my business at other place, the income from the share place is help street/poor children. I have 1 other share place, the leader is the local owner. I read your very tragedy story and it really brought tears in my eyes, children need love and shelter to survive. In a cold night, there are so many children in need. On a busy street, A child wanders, But who cares? Many hands upclose. But no one holds A child that needs to be helds. I read alot about the Viet War in the 70's, which had caused alot of sufferings to the Vietnam people especially the children and women. Agent Orange and what else was used in the war even though they are illegal.The biological effect is still evident today. Yet they still deny it.

It is easier to FORGIVE but it is difficult to FORGET.

My name is Hoang Duong, my food journey started when I was a young boy living in the village. My Vietnamese food passion was ingrained when I was a child and watched my father preparing my family meals.

My father was a master in the kitchen and he instilled in me the importance of using fresh ingredients when cooking the family meals.

As I traveled down the road to where I am now, I kept building knowledge and authentic cuisine recipes learnt from my father previously.

I had a belief that whilst freshness of ingredients was a core key, another key to deliver dishes with full of flavor was to use only the best local produce.

My influence makes the seasonality of produce the most important aspect of the menu here at Duong’s Restaurant, this is the reason why the menu often continues to evolve in line with the availability of produce.

My passion, hard-working and ability to be a good chef were showcased on both Top Chef Vietnam and Iron Chef Vietnam competitions.

I was one of 16 chefs to be invited to Top Chef Vietnam in 2014 where I finished at the 4th position. My showcase at Top Chef helps me to being sought out as a mentor for younger Vietnamese chefs.

I also travel around Vietnam to provide advices to many Vietnamese restaurants and chefs, both young and old. This is one of the aspects that I like most when I am working as a mentor. Because I can help others and to enhance the flavours and variety in Vietnamese food.

I am proud to launch Duong’s Restaurant as my first solo venture and the first leg of my journey and vision. The 1st one is in Hanoi, then the one in Ma May street marked as my 2nd Duong Dining.

Our restaurant has four floors, the first of which is equipped with a bar and comfy chairs. The second floor can accommodate 50 customers at the same time. The third and fourth floors have private rooms. All have air conditioning for Hanoi’s hot summer days as well as its cold winter days.

In total, 390m2 of mixed decor, old and new Hanoi styles and colors. One side faces Hang Muoi St., the old quarter of Hanoi; the other side faces Chuong Duong Bridge, where you can view daily life passing by from our restaurant.
